Sitting down to dinner last night, with champagne, fish and prawns, pulling the last two Christmas crackers apart and ceremoniously decorating our heads with the hat, G. and I reflected on the year that had been. And then became very excited about the year to come! With an engagement and a wedding to organise, a baby in 10 weeks and a christening thrown in for good measure, we will certainly be running around like the proverbial headless chook trying to keep on top of it all!
As for New Year Resolutions – well, the only resolution I have ever kept was made about five years ago, and it was a solemn promise not to disappoint myself by even making them in the first place. And as the great Mark Twain said about New Years Day – now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful lead in to the New Year – may 2012 be a year of adventures where dreams are realized and passions are ignited!
